03 January 2019

What have we got in store for 2019?

2018 was a rewarding year: we’ve worked with some outstanding CLOCS Champions to ensure the safest construction journeys; recognised and shared the best ideas from some of the most inspiring projects, organisations and people in the region; and recruited and supported both host companies and young people through apprenticeships to full time employment.
Here are just some of the projects we have planned for 2019...

SECBE's Inspiring Future Talent - Schools Engagement Programme
The vision for the IFT is a regional-wide network of 8 teams of companies & CE Clubs from around the region, working together to engage and inspire school students to pursue careers in the built environment,  The initiative will be launched at an event hosted by Hampshire Council early 2019.
The CLOCS Conference and regional events in 2019
The new CLOCS Standard launches on 1st January 2019 and SECBE will continue to support CLOCS Champions with implementation of its requirements. The focus for 2019 is to drive CLOCS across the UK and to engage with planning and highway authorities to embed the CLOCS Standard into policy and planning requirements. A vote of confidence from hundreds of  CLOCS Champion committing to invest in membership fees to achieve CLOCS goals has been outstanding. Find out more about CLOCS here.
